Android Malware Attacks Banks
It is known, that a malware is spreading around which steals details like passwords from banking applications.
In a warning message issued by the anti-virus company Quick Heal, Malware spreads as Android.banker.A9480, saying it stolen data from Android mobile applications from over 232 banks, including State Bank, HDFC, and IDBI.
This malware steals details of logging in the bank account and steals the contact numbers stored on SMS and mobile and uploads on a server.
It spreads through the Adobe Flash Player application, which is not in Android Play Store. When downloading it from other sites and installing, Android.banker.A9480 Malware Application is automatically getting installed.
Avoiding applications which are not available in the Play Store will help to avoid this risk.
