Ricky Ponting will be an assistant coach for the Australian team during the Twenty20 matches between New Zeland, England and Australia.

The Australian Cricket Board has confirmed the information today.

It is said, the former Australian captain, Ricky Ponting will work under current coach Deren Lehmann.

43-year-old Ricky Ponting has been the coach of the Mumbai team in the IPL series and has been appointed as Delhi’s trainer a few days ago.

However, Ricky Ponting has worked as a coach for the Australian team in the twenty20 against Sri Lanka last year.

‘Roshan Biyanwela’ elected secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket

Senior Air Force officer Roshan Biyanwela has been elected as Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket at an EGM held yesterday at the board premises.

When SLC Secretary Mohan de Silva was promoted as Vice-President recently, it was expected that Assistant Secretary Ravin Wickramaratne, will take up the vacated position.

 The desset named ‘Marry Me’, was prepared by a leading hotel in Nuwara-Eliya.

Priced at  Rs.3.8 million the  ‘Marry Me’  dessert is  finely crafted using an exotic array of ingredients, created by Master Chef Viraj Jayaratne to mark his 25 years in the culinary field.

The exquisite dessert marries the famed Valrhona chocolate from Madagascar, the Cherry Jubilee which was served at the Grand as far back as 1897, all skillfully crafted with edible gold and silver, and to top it all, a precious stone specially crafted for the lady to cherish for a lifetime, perched on top.
