Relief Aids To Sri Lankans
It is reported 9000 Sri Lankan refugees who are living in Vellore and Abdulpuram area in India have been affected by the by the flood.
The Sri Lankan refugees who live in these rural areas, depend on rice and sugarcane cultivation. But now the paddies are flooded in the rainwater.
The Sri Lankan refugees have requested the Indian Regional Administrator to provide relief aids to the victims who have been affected by the incident.
He promised to provide the relief aids to the affected refugees as same as they provide to the other people in India.

More land release in Keppapilavu!
133 acres of land in Kappuppala, Mullaitivu, will be released today, Minister of Resettlement DM. Swaminathan said.
As a result, 133 acres of land at Keppapulavu village in Karaithuraipattru Divisional Secretariat Division of Mullaitivu will be released today.
The land is to be released after 148 million rupees have been allocated through the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Resettlement to move the Army Headquarters from this area.
This is to be released after Land owners of this 133 acres had launched a series of protest action for more than 300 days in front of the Keppapulavu military headquarters, demanding the release of the land……………….
